In the recently concluded Private Schools Association of Parañaque scholastic competitions held on February 11-12, 2008, the winners are:
Olivarez College – Secondary Education Department
Extemporaneous Speech – Xavier Lourenco Kapauan Cortes – 1st Place
Spelling – Xavier Lourenco K. Cortes and Wilfred Dave Gonzales (Team) – 1st Place
General Information – Xavier Lourenco K. Cortes and Wilfred Dave Gonzales (Team) – 1st Place
His topic for Extemporaneous Speech was “Between books and the media/internet, which do you think can help you more in your quest for academic excellence?”
Have I mentioned he was also Boy Scout of the Year for SY 2006-2007? I’m sure his teachers are very proud of him, because I sure am.
