Lusting for laptop speakers

Hardly anyone these days would be content on just relying on their laptop speakers especially if they watch movies on these laptops. I for one use a pair of USB ones, convenient because they don’t need an extra power supply outlet. The ones I currently use are generic give-aways from a supplier from the time we bought a phalanx of laptops from them.
But I wouldn’t mind a pair of Creative Labs Gigaworks 320, especially when I’m watching my CSI:Miami Season 6 episodes. No generic laptop speakers can do justice to The Who’s opening theme, and Horatio Caine’s one-liners definitely sound better in surroundsound. The gunshots sound a lot more convincing too, especially when I’m trying to drown out the sound of the neighbor’s dogs barking, or when they’re raucously drinking the night away.
On days that we need celebration music laptop speakers are a must. I can just setup my playlist in either winamp or iTunes and then let the decibels loose. When you have a computer and good speakers, you don’t need a huge karaoke machine or even a cd player. Just line up your music, turn the volume up on those speakers and let it rip.
