Hi my name is Kim. I am a student at Central Catholic High School in Massachusetts. This past summer, I read Susan Orlean's book, The Orchid Thief. In the book, she explains the orchid world- everything from its history to the current world of "orchid fever." She immersed herself in a world where she became the guru of orchids and learned as much as she could about the orchids. She interviewed various people, attended orchid conferences and even tried finding a rare orchid in an inhospitable swamp/forest.

Like Susan Orlean, I have to immerse myself in the world of collectibles. I want to know everything about chopsticks. Its history, the many chopsticks existing today, the various people who have started chopstick collections of their own. My teacher tells me there are peole who collect everything and anything. I figured I'd give chopsticks a shot. My goal is to be a chopstick guru by the end of this project. However, I don't know where to begin. I have tried googling chopsticks to obtain information and tried finding possible collectors. You were one of the few collectors I found on Google. I see from your June 3rd blog that you collect them. I was hoping to interview you via email about your chopstick collection. Please let me know, thank you!
