I’d spent the better part of the past five and a half years chained to an office chair, and a few more years of the same after a couple of years hiatus to build my new family.

It’s been a while since I’ve known how it was to not worry about servers and code and third parties who know nothing about servers and code.

Today is my last regular day at work, and my team will be working overtime on a project. I do regret leaving them while in the middle of something, but they need my absence more. It is when I am not there that they get to practice what they learn, without my holding their hands.
