Perhaps a lot has changed about the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) since the man who will not be named left the office to run for higher office (and who failed miserably).

The blue shirts seem to be more polite these days, and while there is still the thrust towards neatness and order, it is no longer done with fascist slogans and huge posters with the chairman’s face on it.

The banner that these workers are putting up is honest, and not at all like the self-serving one the previous chairman left hanging for more than a year near the Magallanes MRT Station.

Happy 35th anniversary, Metro Manila!
