I must admit I am currently at a loss as to what to get my six-year-old daughter for Christmas this year. We had pampered her with Barbie dolls and gadgets in past gift-giving opportunities like her birthday or for when she got highest grades in school exams. But now I find myself literally out of cash as a result of several unfortunate events, and buying expensive dolls and electronic doodads will be out of the question this year.
I needed to do something or find something that can be as fun to give as to receive, and while my little girl may have been spoiled by store bought stuff, she has always liked dolls of any kind, including the classic paper dolls. And that is how the Christmas printable paper dolls has come to my gift-giving rescue. This is a 14-page set printable on standard letter paper (8.5 by 11 inches). There is a plain set and a color set of 7 pages each, consisting of one doll and six pages of clothes, accessories and hairstyles. The plain set is great for coloring and self styling, while the color set is just ready to cut and use.
I love paper dolls myself because I had always wanted them as a little girl, but this was before personal computers and the internet were invented, and the only way I could get them was if someone bought them for me or gave them to me as a gift, which really wasn’t very often. I am now very glad to have the opportunity to get these for my daughter, because they allow for quite a bit of mommy-daughter bonding time, coloring, cutting and styling, and a bit of role-playing too.
Thank you, Python Printable Games (Instant Fun! Just add Paper)!
