With the upsurge in health tourism in the Philippines, I’m sure there will be a number of inpatient rehab centers either in Manila or in the suburbs. Come to think of it, there’s just about any type of wellness center in this metropolis, from weight control to fitness to the unavoidable (for some) minor surgical solution.
But if anyone who reads this post would like to know what to look for prior to checking into an inpatient rehab center, here are a few questions you should ask your prospective facility.
How experienced are they? Do they have any specialties and if so what are they. Can they provide you with the credentials of their doctors and staff? Can the hospital/clinic arrange for nearby accommodation? Can a family member stay with the patient at the hospital? If yes, how much extra does it cost?
It wouldn’t hurt to know the answers to the questions above, and if you can’t find the information about the rehabilitation department in the hospital profile, ask them to send you information about their rehabilitation programs.
