I must admit one of the things that will make me stay away from the kitchen is a bunch of dull knives. There is nothing more tortuous than trying to cut anything will a knife that has seen better days. However, should I see a kitchen with a set of kershaw scallion knives, expect me to stay in the kitchen for a very long time, perhaps even set up shop there myself.

In the meantime I must remember tips on how to make my life less miserable with the ordinary cutting utensils I have in my poor dilapidated kitchen. Such as slicing tomatoes from the core and not from the skin after it’s been halved. Using the peeler instead of the knife for potatoes, radishes and carrots. Keeping an old bathroom tile on hand for a few quick swipes with the knife to keep it sharp for the duration.
