Yes it is, ladies and gentlemen! The Nayong Pilipino in Pasay City Philippines is well on its way to regaining its rightful place in the cultural limelight. With the help of photography groups such as the D60KREW, HGT Photography Group and the TPC Digital Point and Shoot Club, the resurrected beauty of the Nayong Pilipino will once again be known to the world.
The 4th Annual Scott Kelby Worldwide Photowalk – Nayong Pilipino, scheduled from 7:00am to 12:00noon on October 1, 2011, filled up in less than two days after posting, and the overflowing waiting list necessitated the creation of a parallel walk in the same location. The D60KREW’s Bambit Gaerlan and Andy Rodriguez are leading the Main and Parallel Walks respectively, with the HGT Photography Team providing support. The aim of this photowalk is to generate at least 100 photos that the Nayong Pilipino can use in any way they see fit to promote the park.
This Sunday, September 25, the TPC Digital Point and Shoot Club led by Alvin Art and Lennox will hold their own photowalk at the Nayong Pilipino.
It is hoped that with the resurrection of the Nayong Pilipino as a photographer’s haven will help spread the word that the park is not dead as most people now assume, and that in time it will once more become the most well-known and loved cultural tourist spot in Metro Manila.
