My dream house is not a two-story concrete house with a G.I. sheet roof. No. I would rather have a house built out of coco lumber, bamboo, and with a cogon grass roof. Instead of having stuffed couches I would prefer wood cabin furniture, with a few light cushions and mats on the floor.
I had often wondered why most people in a country such as mine would prefer to have concrete houses with electricity-consuming artificial cooling systems. It would be aesthetically pleasing and power-saving as well to have a house made of native materials, and constructed so that it would be earthquake resistant too.
