Your employer may know a lot more about you than your parents do =P
Quite a number of employers have been doing a pre employment background check on their prospective hires. I would say this would be more so of financial institutions such as banks and lending agencies. I would say this is a good move on the part of employers, but I do wonder how much of these checks are actually voluntarily agreed to by the prospective employee?
There are medical checks and calls to previous employers, and requests for endorsers. But then there are credit checks, and police record checks as well. I would imagine police records have a certain level of confidentiality, but how much do banks share about a client’s info?
