I had been looking through ebay again for stores that may be offering clearance backpacks when my photography teacher Rolly Magpayo announced that he was selling his 2-year-old Tamrac Expedition 7x for a fraction of the original cost.
Knowing how well Rolly takes care of his things, I knew that this was going to be a steal. But then I was also broke, but then again, that little fact never really stopped me from getting what I wanted, if I really wanted it. I asked Rolly if he would sell it to me at two installments. He said yes, without any hesitation. That’s when you know you have a friend 🙂
I had bought a Tamrac from Rolly before, more than 2 years ago. Back then it was the Adventure Series 9, plenty of room for a DSLR, extra lenses and other gear, but it didn’t have a tripod holder. I had to sell that bag a year later, to raise funds for my son’s college tuition. I was sorry to see it go. At the time I also had to sell a lens to add to the needed funds, but I bought that lens again, a Nikkor 55-200mm VR, when I came into some money late last year.
